No-bake Collagen Boosted Energy Bars

Store-bought brands with collagen cost up to $2-$3 per bar but with the right collagen protein powder, you can turn that boring old peanut butter mix into a tasty, cost-effective superfood filled with enough carbs to sustain any of your indoor family adventures or refuel you after your toughest workouts. Each protein bar is packed with approximately 350 calories and 15 grams of protein. This means that 2 collagen bars have enough nutrients to substitute a full meal!

Prep time:

This sweet and chewy collagen-infused energy bar takes less than 15 minutes of hands-on work, is a great activity for the whole family AND, the best part is that it does not require any baking time!

So gather your little ones and let's get mixing...friendly reminder to wash your hands first and sing happy birthday! Twice!

There are 5 simple ingredients:

Method:

Mix all ingredients into a bowl using a spatula. Pouring the honey and peanut butter first and then gradually mixing in the oats and chocolate chips (1-cup at a time) until all excess honey is dried up and dispersed into the batter.

Pour all ingredients from the bowl onto a square sheet of parchment paper and place into a square or rectangular baking pan (10"*10")

Press the ingredients to fill the square pan using a rubber spatula until the mixture is flat and even on all parts of the pan

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, Remove baking sheet from pan and place it onto a counter

Cut one horizontal slice down the middle and 3 even vertical slices as shown to form the shape of the bars. Each should be about 3 inches long and 1 and a half inches wide.

Serving size

If cut equally into 10 bars each serving size is 365 calories, 42 carbs, 16g fat, 15g protein, 26g sugar.

Cost:With these ingredients the total cost per bar is approximately $1

Is honey a keto-friendly Sweetener?

Unfortunately not. Honey is high in carbohydrates, but it's far healthier than other non-organic sweeteners that wouldn't make good protein bars anyway.
